Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1964. Publisher's Advance Preview. Loose sheets in a box. Advance promotional preview prepared by the publisher in anticipation of the publication of Barthelme's first book, "Come Back, Doctor Caligari", consisting of reproductions of the typescript of two stories plus the publisher's title / explanation page. Loose Sheets in a publisher's red box, pages printed (mimeographed) on one side only, 8.5" x 11". 18 pages and 17 pages respectively. Publisher's label to box top. Box Condition: A bit banged around with a bruise or two, small closed tear to edge of bottom box being the worst of it, mild finger soiling to white label; overall the box top is solid and doing its job well. Pages Condition: Near Fine, with an occasional light crease from handling, bright and clean.
