London: Readers Union / J.M. Dent & Sons, 1955. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 8vo., 214pp. Sharp First Edition of this lovely and quite descriptive travelogue of a journey down France's great river. Bound in yellow cloth with titles in gilt on spine. Numerous in-text woodcut illustrations. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear. Faint sticker ghost and written "85" on the front end-paper. Attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket has some chipping to the crown and top front tip. Spine panel toning. "Page 85" written on front panel. Still bright with no tears or creases. A solid collectable copy.
