About This Item

The Book-Keeper Publishing Co. Ltd. Detroit, 1906. First Edition. Hardcover. VG+/--. 8 H x 5 1/2 W x 3/4 inch. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book VERY GOOD TO NEAR FINE/ Covers Very Good. Covers are dark green, spine and quarter boards red, lettering gilt. Front cover green board has one slightly bent corner tip, no edge wear, bright and clean, title is on this board in gilt with a single line box border and 1/2 inch of the gilt is missing, front cover red quarter board seems to be leather and has minor edge wear. Back cover green board has no bent corners, no edge wear, bright and clean, back cover red quarter board same as front. Spine red leather cover is completely gone exposing the backing paper, this backing paper is glued over the cloth binding therefore even with the red spine cover gone, the sheaves of the book are not exposed or loose, they are held tightly in place by the backing paper. Page top edge is gilt slightly dull now, side and bottom edges have a brown, light blue, yellow and red swirl pattern and are perhaps slightly darker than they were when new. Inner end papers are a lovely light green flower and leaf pattern. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, flat. Book is over-opened at page 3 (the page after the title page) meaning that if opened there the page has been flattened to stay in place but spine is not broken and page is not loose. Same comment for page 15. Same comment for page 97 where the paper is almost torn at the spine bottom 3/4 inch. Same comment for page 1435 where the paper is almost torn for 7/8 of the height of the spine. Pages 199, 200, 201 and 202 is one piece of paper and this one sheet has no holes in it for the binding threads, it has not been torn from the binding, I believe it was added by the publisher. Page 203 to the back of the book are in place, so there are no missing pages out of the book. Some pages have age darkening along the edges. The Office Library Series.

WILLOWBAY BOOKS

THERE IS NO COVID-19 IN MY STORE AND MY SALES ARE ONLINE ONLY. IMPORTANT NOTE RE POSTAGE: I love books and most of my books are NEW or LIKE NEW. I'm very careful in describing my books accurately and I've done so to the best of my ability using the IOBA Book Condition guidelines. All items are from a smoke-free, clean, dry environment. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office. Thanks for your understanding. I will always email you with the date your package was shipped, and shipping method used.

I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through my books, and purchasing from WILLOWBAY BOOKS. Thanks. Ms. Bronwen Kathy Williams, Ontario, Canada.
