The seventh published novel from the Hornblower series. Twelfth in the series chronologically. Having achieved fame and financial security from his naval exploits, Captain Sir Horatio Hornblower marries Lady Barbara Leighton and prepares to settle down in Kent. Suddenly, he is appointed Commodore and sent on a diplomatic military mission to the Baltic. Written by Cecil Louis Troughton Smith, an English novelist known for his naval warfare novels set during the Napoleonic Wars under the pen-name of Cecil Scott Forester. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and minor fading to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is smart with light shelf wear and chipping to the extremities. Small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine have sympathetically been repaired with tape to the internal side. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
