Beautiful Half-Leather presentation copy, signed by Emanuel Lasker, Chess Champion, with his un-named gift inscription opposite title page. Dark Red half-leather binding with 5 raised bands to spine. Bright Gilt Title in 2nd compartment and bright Gilt Floral Motif in others. Dark Red leaf textured cloth covered boards with large Red leather corners, Gilt borders. Endpapers and all page edges Marbled. Text illustrated throughout with chessboard examples. Some wear to leather on corners and around spine.
