In the publisher's original green illustrated cloth. With a frontispiece, headpieces, illuminated letters, vignettes and illustrations throughout by Edmund H. New. Edited with an introduction by Richard Le Gallienne. This work on fishing is written by Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton. This work is a celebration of the sport, with an anglers calendar to the rear of the work. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally very smart with fading to the spine, discolouration to a corner of the front board and to the rear, handling marks to the boards and spine and light bumping, heavier to the tail of the spine and extremities. Offsetting to the end papers. Internally firmly bound with pages roughly cut, clean and bright. Contemporary ink inscription to the verso of the front free end paper. Age toning to the top edge. Page before list of illustrations has been excised. Very Good
