Octavo (22.75cm); red cloth, with titles stamped in gilt on spine and front cover; xl,267,[1]pp, with portrait frontispiece of the author and 30 illustrations. Spine ends gently nudged, some light scattered dust-soil to rear cover, with the edges of the front cover showing a barely discernable trace of bowing; contents fresh; Near Fine. A continuation of Dickens's 1870 novel (which lay unfinished at the time of his death) by noted Dickensian and Drood scholar John Cuming Walters (1863-1933).
