The complete works of Geoffrey Chaucer, an English poet, author, and civil servant best known for The Canterbury Tales, who has been called the "father of English literature". Edited from numerous manuscripts by Walter Willian Skeat, a British philologist and Anglican deacon. Bound in half brown calf with brown cloth boards. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
