From the publisher

Now with MATLAB(R), this substantially revised and updated edition shows how computational approaches can solve complex mathematical equations, such as simultaneous algebraic equations, ODEs, and PDEs, that typically arise in engineering problems. It explores the applicability, efficiency, and behavior of various numerical methods and explains how to use MATLAB and Fortran to solve numerous engineering examples and problems. This edition incorporates recent advances in computational software and hardware, additional exercises and examples, and new and updated references. A solutions manual is available upon qualifying course adoption.
