About the author

THOMAS W. THORPE is a Senior Engineering Specialist for the Loral Corporation and an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Colorado Technical College. He is also a telecommunications consultant for National Communications Systems and a consultant specializing in energy monitoring and control for SLEUTH Inc. Mr. Thorpe received his BS in electrical engineering from San Jose State University. He has done extensive analysis work for private and governmental agencies over the past 17 years, utilizing SPICE as a predominant analysis tool.
