London: C. Wilson, Late Norie & Wilson, 1881. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First British Edition.. Red cloth binding with gilt cover illlustration and spine lettering. From the Library of Steve Fossett, the bookplate on the front pastedown depicts a exploration balloon and basket with the wording Steve Fossett Collection of Adventure and Exploration. Illustrations and diagrams throughout, a perfect early book on yachting. 20 pages of marine related ads at the end which was customary for the time. Not a reprint, not rebound, original first, with unique provenance. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
