About This Item

Norwalk, CT: Easton Press, 2008. First Edition. First Printing.. Hardcover. As New/No Dust Jacket, As Issued.. Norwalk, CT: Easton Press, 2008. Hardcover. As New/None, As Issued. First Edition/First Printing. 566 pages. Rare Jonathan Franzen collectible set. Pristine copies of "The Corrections" Easton Press Signed Collector's Edition and the vintage color print of the author himself, depicted as an iconic cartoon character in "The Simpsons", both signed by Jonathan Franzen. The First Easton Press Edition. Precedes and should not be confused with all other subsequent editions. Easton Press reissues most of its titles and indicates them as such. Published in a small and limited first print run as a Leatherbound Edition only which sold out upon publication. There is no ISBN. The Limited Edition is now rare. A brilliant production by Easton Press: Regular-sized volume format. Brown leather boards with elaborate gilt design embossed on the cover and gilt titles embossed on the spine, as issued. Text by Jonathan Franzen. Thick salmon moire endpapers. "Note About The Corrections" Card and Certificate of Authenticity laid-in. Gilt endpapers. Printed on pristine-white, archival stock paper in the United States to the highest standards. The production values are outstanding in every respect. Without DJ, as issued. Re-presents, in a stunningly beautiful format, Jonathan Franzen's "The Corrections". Truly a treasurable keeper of a book. The "masterpiece" - as hailed by The New York Times - that took him ten years to write, during which time he was largely silent. In America, that usually spells the end of one's writing career. "The brightest, boldest, and most ambitious novel I've read in many years" (Pat Conroy). Comes with a lovely 10 X 8 inch vintage color print of Franzen as himself appearing in "The Simpsons", and portrayed quite accurately as an iconic cartoon character. An absolute "must-have" collectible, not just memorabilia, set for Jonathan Franzen collectors. This is a copy of the Easton Press Signed Limited Edition. It is very prominently and beautifully signed in blue ink-pen by Jonathan Franzen. Laid-in is the Certificate of Authenticity that is also very prominently and beautifully signed in black ink-pen by the author. It comes with the 10 X 8 inch vintage color print of Franzen appearing as himself on "The Simpsons", also very boldly and beautifully signed in black pen-marker on recto by Jonathan Franzen. As far as we know, this is the only such signed set of the Easton Press Collector's Edition and vintage color print available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. A very rare signed set thus. Selected by The New Yorker Magazine as one of "Twenty Writers for the 21st Century", a selection that was prescient because he had not written anything in almost a decade. Winner of the National Book Award in 2001 for "The Corrections". One of the most important and most influential writers of our time. A fine collectible set. You will also find a fine selection of signed copies, limited editions, and memorabilia because our ultimate goal is to deepen the pleasure of collecting books. We carry titles that we ourselves like and believe in -- books that we think will excite, enchant, and endure.
