Eastwood. 1856 presumed 1st edition; Orange Judd & Company; New York. The book features an illustrated title page and nine other full-page illustrations. The contents are as follows: Natural History of the Cranberry; First Growers; Proper Locations of Cranberry Patches; Soils and Modes of Preparing Them; Vines; Cranberry Patch; Planting Vines; Treatment of Young Vines; Blossoming Time; Diseases of the Cranberry; Cranberry Picking Time; The Great Cranberry Markets; The Oxycoccus Palustris, or Upland Cranberry; Letters from Growers - Practical Hints, &c.

Condition:
Small cloth pieces missing at the top and bottom edges of the spine. Small cloth tear at 3 of the cover corners; larger cloth tear at the top-left corner of the back cover. Small ding/dent at the top edge of the back cover. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Nice pages - mostly clean with only a few random, light smudges. Some of the illustrations have left a shadow/outline on the facing page. Light foxing to the end papers and pastedowns. Name stamped lightly in ink on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
