Macmillan & Company, London, 1980. Facsimile Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. Illustrator: Thomas Mackenzie. list of illustrations. Ochre coloured endpapers. Coloured frontispiece by Thomas Macckenzie. Within the text there are another 11 other coloured illustrations and numerous decorative headings and tail pieces again by Thomas Mackenzie. Brown coloured boards with gilt illustration, decoration and coloured titles to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to on the spine. Red coloured tint to the top textblock edge. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and shelfwear is evident to the lower book edges. Rubbing to the book corners and there has been a little bleeding of the top coloured edge to the fore edge. Some dust marks to the paper edges as well. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for front cover, with are red background and gilt coloured titles to the front panel and spine. Dustwrapper is slightly rubbed and faded and there has been some rubbing to the dustwrapper corners. A facsimile of the Macmillan and Company 1926 edition. A fantasy by the Irish author James Stephens from the early 20th century. First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
