NOT ex-library. Oversize hardcover, 7.25 x 10.25 inches, has red cloth-covered boards with cream spine and cover lettering, and a black fox head on the spine. Front cover has a black & white paper illustration and black borders. Deckle fore and bottom edges. Top pages edges are gilt. Color frontispiece with tissue guard. Monochrome plates with photographs and illustrations by J. Crawford Wood. 352 pages. Hinges NOT cracked. Binding a little pulled at the frontispiece, otherwise tight. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with minor fraying at tips. Covers have light surface and edge wear; spine lightly sunned with some loss to color in lettering. Two small thin white spots on front cover. Imprinted bookplate of John Mack, with coat of arms and motto: "Et domi, et foris - "Cor Vulneretum" on front endpaper. Pages lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. No dust jacket. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
