A Jacobean stage play, a tragicomedy written by John Fletcher and Philip Massinger, originally published in 1647 in the first Beaumont and Fletcher folio. This is likely an extract from the 10 volume edition of The works of Mr. Francis Beaumont, and Mr. John Fletcher, printed in London by Jacob Tonson in 1711, edited by Gerald Langbaine. engraved frontispiece, [2], 311-393, [1]. Pages darkly toned, rebound half calf over marblized boards, gilt title spine, probably mid-19thC. Front cover detached.
