Paris : Editions Stock, 1946. Leather. Good. 7" by 5". None. A French translation of this novel by Maurice Baring. With a preface by Andre Maurois. The novel was first published in English in 1926. The plot centres around a young woman, Fanny, who looks mysteriously like a painting of the enigmatic Daphne Adeane. Rebound in half-cloth with marbled boards. Externally, quite smart, with just some slight rubbing and wear to the extremities. Internally, binding strained in places. Pages are browned throughout. Good
