New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1939. First Edition. Near fine/very good. First printing. 306 pp, illustrated, in original green cloth binding. Lower corner of front board is bumped and there is very slight wear to the spine ends, else a fine copy, with bookseller's label (Young Books, NY) on front pastedown. Dust jacket has some chipping, short tears, and old internal tape repairs, but remains attractive. Original price ($2.50) present. James' final novel.
