Photographic dust wrapper, showing an Australian flag with bullet holes, against a black coloured background with green and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A novel set in the near future where Australia is on the brink of becoming a republic. The new regime promises heavy censorship and the inexorable suppression of all opposition. Very minor rubbing to the head and to the heel of the spine. Light browning and foxing to the paper edges. Very light offset tanning and browning to the endpapers and the internal pages had become aged toned. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with sunning of the back strip. A little insect activity can be seen to the top edge of the back strip. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7Â¾" - 9Â¾" tall. 184 pages, last blank..
