Everyman's Library #240, an entry in EL's Fiction series. --- In Everyman's style 1 maroon leatherette variant binding with elaborate Reginald Knowles-designed gilt spine titling & floral decorations, gilt decorations to cover, top edge gilt, sewn-in satin ribbon bookmark and rounded corners. Volume lacks a dust jacket. --- With 1.5-inch partial splits to front and rear upper joint areas, some chafing to cover extremities, else a sound, tightly-bound copy.; 12mo (7 to 7-1/2 in. tall); xxiv, 814 pages .
