Signed by Beverly Cleary on the half-title page and inscribed to former owners. Bound in publisher's white cloth spine lettered in dark blue over blue paper covered boards. Fine, in a Near Fine un-clipped dust jacket which is lightly shelf worn, folded slightly off-center, and lightly toned on the flaps and blank verso. A lovely signed, first printing of this Newbery Medal winner.
