About This Item
London: Macmillan, 1993. First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Near Fine. 9" by 5.5". None. A signed, first edition of Veronica Stallwood's Death and the Oxford Box. Bound in paper-covered boards, with gilt lettering and an unclipped dust wrapper. Signed by author. First edition. Veronica Stallwood is a British author who lives near Oxford, and is most famous for her crime fiction creation, Kate Ivory, a novelist turned amateur detective. Veronica was brought up in London and around the eastern Mediterranean, attending numerous schools - English, American and French - acquiring little by way of formal education but much experience of other people and cultures. Writing came much later, once her 'family responsibilities had diminished'. Death and the Oxford Box is the first in the Kate Ivory series. In a cloth binding in the original dustwrapper. The binding is tight and firm. There is some very slight wear to the extremities, including some bumping. The dust wrapper has one very small closed tear. Internally the pages are clean with some slight browning to the edges. Very Good
