Illustrated with five-hundred and eighty images, with twenty-seven colour plates. Collated complete. A comprehensive study on decorative textiles, with reference to furniture, tapestries, embroideries, drapery, wall papers, carpets, rugs, and much more. Written by George Leland Hunter, an American authority on decorative arts, his work 'Tapestries, Their Origin, History, and Renaissance', was regarded as the finest work in English on the subject. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound with one detached endpaper. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
