London: The Warburg Institute, 1969. First edition. Hardcover. very good. Quarto. (12" x 9 1/2") 203pp of text & 114 pp of plates with a total of 183 images,. Gray buckram cloth. Gilt lettering to cover and spine. Italian text. Taped to front free endpaper is a note with The Warburg Institute letterhead "with the libraian's compliments". Name and date of previous owner on front free endpaper. There is about one inch of wear showing some fraying at tail of spine. Otherwise a very nice copy. This is volume 31 in the Studies of the Warburg Institute. Edited by E.H. Gombrich.
