About This Item

London: Payne and Foss, 1818. Hardcover. Fourth Edition of the Defence of Usury [with] Third Edition of A Protest Against Law-Taxes. 18mo. [2] [iv.] 206pp.; 70pp. Bound in three quarters leather over marbled boards. VERY GOOD. Shows shelf rubbing and scuffing of the binding with some showing and marginal loss, former owner name stamp neatly on the paste-down, first blank appears to have been neatly removed, second blank with two light binders marks, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text-block is clean and unmarked having been very well maintained, and the boards remain distinct.
