First Edition of the very scarce Deluxe Edition of National Geographic's March of the Penguins, based on Editions Michel Lafon's La Marche de L'Empereur. This is not the standard hardcover issue, but the fine grain synthetic leather-bound, lightly padded Deluxe Edition (see scans); also included is the 27" x 39.5" oversized poster (see scan; please NOTE that the poster was shipped here by NGSD in twelve-fold, hence will be shipped by us folded as well). Quarto, navy blue fine grain synthetic leather lightly padded boards, silver imprinting on front cover and spine, silver-black satin page-marker ribbon, All Edges Silver; 157 pp. + 1. New; pristine and immaculate; removed from original packaging only for scanning and description. Note that the "light" spots in the frontal scan are reflective scanning artifacts only; these are not real. The scarcest edition of the luxuriantly photographically illustrated and eminently readable and collectible book form of director Luc Jacquet's production. A collector piece, wall-to-wall.
