Two volumes. Written by Rudyard Kipling, an English novelist, short-story writer, journalist, and poet, known for his works the Jungle Book and Just So Stories. This set includes: Departmental Ditties and Other Verses, 1899. Eleventh edition. Illustrated with frontispiece, and seven plates. Collated complete. Includes poems such as: Delilah, A Code of Morals, To the Unknown Goddess, The Lovers' Litany, Possibilities, and many others. Barrack-Room Ballads and Other Verses, 1900. A collection of verses, including: Danny Deever, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, Soldier Soldier, Mandalay, The Widow's Party, Ford o' Kabul River, and many others. Bound in half blue calf with blue cloth boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor rubbing to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd handling mark or pencil mark. The odd spot to the endpapers. Prize bookplate to the front endpaper. Very Good Indeed
