About This Item

Boston: The Bibliophile Society, 1912. Fine. 26 cm; 23 pages. Engraved title page signed in pencil by A.N. MacDonald, and with six copperplate engravings (five of them portraits) with tissue guards, all signed in pencil by Bicknell. Printed on Japan vellum paper. Bound in smooth calf ruled in gilt, preserved in double buckram slipcases. Title label on outer slipcase somewhat sun-darkened; minor abrasions to edge of inner slipcase. Bookplate removed from front pastedown, else an unblemished copy!
