About This Item
La Maison Salubra, [Basel]., 1959. First edition. Oblong folio. The short introductory text, which is illustrated with drawings by Le Corbusier, is presented in French, German and English. This is followed by 14 double-page wallpaper samples, interspersed with three colour photographs of rooms, and 20 plates showing colours available. At the rear is an acetate pocket containing two card viewing frames. Inside the rear cover is a series of colour swatches. Cloth-backed boards held with three metal rivets, the front cover being glossy and pictorial. The wallpaper company Salubra had issued a more modestly presented selection of Le Corbusier's designs in 1932.Three of the sample pages are slightly chipped to top edges. The rivets slightly affected by rust. Cloth at tail of spine just a little rubbed. Cloth a little spotted and marked. Corners a bit rubbed. Very good and difficult to find in complete condition.
