New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1944. Published 1944. Historical fiction about the merchant seamen of World War II. Grey cloth with red cover lettering and decoration, 347 pages, illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with some edgewear, including rubbed corners and spine ends, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no name or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is in generlaly cood condition with some fairly minor chips and some age-toning and light surface soil to the light-colored rear panel.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
