New York: J.S. Ogilvie Publishing Company, 1908. Considered a great classic by the Hungarian playwright Ferenc [Neumann]. This is a novelization of the dramatic production staged by theatrical manager Henry W. Savage (1859-1927). It was wildly popular and had revivals and several film versions. Often in reperatory today. A Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Red cloth binding with ruling and titling in black. Tipped on to the front cover is a photograph of Dr. Millar tipping his tophat. Clean text; 189 pages, with two pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. No dustjacket; in an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Pictorial Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
