Dexter by Design is a psychological thriller novel written by Jeff Lindsay. This is the fourth book in the Dexter series, preceded by the 2004 novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter (which formed the basis of the Showtime television series Dexter), Dearly Devoted Dexter, its 2005 sequel, and Dexter in the Dark, the third installment, released in 2007. The book was released in the UK on February 19, 2009. According to Amazon. com, the novel is due to be released in the US on September 8, 2009.
