Volume II of a three volume set, in a half morocco binding with pictorial cloth boards. Illustrated with 13 black and white plates, 25 colour plates, 6 folding plates, and numerous in-text illustrations. Collated, complete. The first edition, tenth thousand, of Volume II of the three volume set by Eduard Fuchs and Alfred Kind on female rule and dominance, through various legal and religious practices, throughout world history. Eduard Fuchs (1870-1940) was a German writer, Marxist political activist and art critic. Written in German, and illustrated with many fascinating illustrations throughout. In a half morocco binding. Externally, a little rubbed to the spine and extremities, with some faint marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the occasional spot. Very Good
