About This Item
New York: Rinehart & Company, 1951. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition second printing 1959. Hardback book is tight square and clean. Feels read. Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Deckle edged text block has toning to edge, and sl. dusty top edge. Bumped to head and foot of spine. Previous booksellers pencil price to FEP. Very good condition. Jacket some rubs and small losses to corners. Chips and creasing to spine ends, spine slightly sunned. Front panel has closed tear from head of joint with creasing, and small closed tear to bottom edge, again with creasing. Otherwise panels nice and clean. Front flap is missing the top 1/2 inch, probably removed by a previous seller to pass this copy off as a first printing. Overall a very good copy For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A solid example of this scarce in the UK edition, looks reasonable on shelf in archival cover.
