About This Item

London: Printed for the Booksellers of London and Westminster, 1707. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good . Small 8vo. 262 pp. Contents and errata bound at rear. Complete. First English Edition, and the first containing the translator's preface. Lovely contemporary morocco binding, panels in gilt, spines richly gilt, a.e.g. Some small repairs, external strengthening to joints; still a very good copy.

Now a scarce book indeed. The essay presents examples of friendship in classical and Biblical antiquity for contemporary edification.
