About This Item
First Edition of this title by Newbery winning author and illustrator, Hugh Lofting. Dr. Dolittle's assistant Tommy Stubbins gets involved with the curator of the Dog Museum in the Home of Crossbred Dogs while Dr. Dolittle's garden is so infested with insects, that he begins to learn their language. They tell him of a race of Giant Moths, but before he can leave on a trip to find them, one arrives at his garden; but for what purpose? Very minor scuffing to boards.
Small fray at head of spine. No internal markings. Beautifully illustrated endpapers. Front hinge slightly cracked along top 3 inches, but very much intact. Pages are clean and bright. Dozens of black and white illustrations by the author throughout.
All proceeds benefit The Friends of the San Anselmo Library. No expedited shipping outside of the United States.
