Leipzig: Karl Baedeker, 1907. Hardcover. Near Fine. "Third revised and augmented edition." lxiv, 331, [1] p.: 25 leaves (some folded) of color maps and plans; 16 cm. Publisher's advertisements on front endpapers. Original red cloth with gilt-stamped spine and cover titles: Baedeker's Canada. Blind-stamped decoration on both boards. All page edges marbled. Two bookmarks, one red and one green. Includes index and bibliographical references. The preface states that the author was J.F. Muirhead, although the title page indicates that Baedeker (who died in 1859) was the author. The introduction includes Geographical and Geological Sketch, with Notes on Minerals, Climate, Immigration, and native Races by George M. Dawson. Former owner's name at head of front fixed endpaper: Theodore F. Jenkins, Philadelphia. Theodore F. Jenkins (1849-1940) was a prominent Philadelphia attorney; the Jenkins Law Library is named in his honor. In Near Fine Condition: edges very slightly rubbed; maps, plans, and text are clean and tight.
