The Dragonflies of the British Isles was written by Cynthia Longfield for use in the field. It aims to provide a detailed but concise guide to British dragonflies. The text is accompanied by detailed colour illustrations. This edition is based on information collected in W. J. Lucas's book Britain Dragonflies published in 1900. The first edition of Dragonflies of the British Isles was published in 1937. The Dragonflies of the British Isles includes fifty-eight plates and detailed vignettes. Collated complete. The Spider's Web was written by Theodore H. Savory to trace the evolution of the spider an animal largely misunderstood.
