About This Item
New York: Random House, 1975. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Review copy, with the publisher's slip laid in. Inscribed by Dean Koontz on the half-title: "To Gary Elswick, This was Dwyer's last book before drink did him in. It is, arguably, his best work, though not much better than Shattered. It has elicited mail from both extreme left-wingers and extreme right-wingers, congratulating the author on his political insight, and it has gotten hate mail from both those factions, too, so it must be doing something right! Dean R. Koontz alias K.R. Dwyer". A sinister cabal plots to take over the world. The third novel Koontz published under his K.R. Dwyer pseudonym. Octavo. Original yellow paper-covered boards over a black cloth spine, with bronze and blind-stamped titles. A fine, unread copy in a fine dust jacket.
