About This Item

Buffalo, NY: J.R. Blodgett [Undated, but between 1864 and 1869 according to a Buffalo History Museum library record]. 10 1/4 x 13 1/2 inches. pp. [6]. Fair: foxing throughout, tiny tears, spine unraveling (although publication holds together). Spectacular image on the front of sheet music for a galop. Wahle seems to have been primarily active in the 1860s in Buffalo, where he conducted his own orchestra and composed galops for at least two hotels. The publisher Blodgett ran a music store in Buffalo.
