Toronto: Thomas Nelson and Sons (Canada) Limited, 1967. An adventure story of the valient days when man and boy set out to build a nation with little else save a musket and broad-axe as tools. Young Peter Hartley learns the price of loyalty and finds the will to fight through against all odds. Because he saves Fort Niagara, and with it the North-West, he is granted the King's Commission.
