Photographic dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel and black-and-white coloured titles to the backstrip. The story of a ship, and, how a ship's character can change under the stress of warfare, as told by the narrator (O. E.) to a farm hand in a sweltering wheat belt town in Western Australia. The author's first work – published when he was 60. Rubbing to the backstrip edges and to the lower book edges. Light browning of the textblock edges and pages.
