Fine-looking, structurally sound hardcover, little discernible wear, bright interior, unmarked. Bound in gray cloth over boards, blind-stamped designs to front cover, black lettering to spine. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, short closed tear along top edge of front panel, some edge-wear. A particularly engaging look at the haute Bohemia of British art and literature, culture and publishing, from 1887-1894 through the publishing house and some of its many authors. Complete with a checklist of the publisher's books from that period, and with notes about book illustrators and the works they illustrated, books, pamphlets and periodicals. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. xiv [2], 2-385 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
