Entomologist Harry Weiss and his wife Grace were avid New Jersey folklorists, who applied their considerable skill as researchers to the subject of the history of sports and other pastimes in their state. The result was this book, an at once scholarly whle still readable examination of everything from cricket to cockfighting in New Jersey. Signed on the front free endpaper by Harry Weiss and inscribed by him to fellow entomologist Dr. Hugo Hartnack. The book is in very good condition: clean nad bright, with a hint of wear at corners.. SIGNED. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/No Dust Jacket, as Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
