Straight, tight and clean with no markings, slightest spine-end and corner bumps. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, in protective glassine sleeve. The sports historian and author of The Glory of Their Times, often called 'the greatest book about baseball ever written', presents a cultural history of New York City in the first half of the twentieth century with sports, those who participated in them, and the many legendary venues that housed them at the center.
