Comprising of, The Eaton Tourist or a Colloquial Description of the Hall Grounds Gardens &c at Eton, The Seat of the Right Hon. Earl Grosvenor; The Original Bath Guide: containing an Essay on the Bath Waters; with a Description of the City; and a variety of miscellaneous information; A Guide to Kenilworth, containing a brief historical account of the Castle, Priory, and Church and The Coventry Guide, containing a concise account of the ancient history of the City, and particular descriptions of the Churches, St. Mary Hall and other public buildings. With a frontispiece, folding map and four plates to 'Eaton', a folding frontispiece, decorative vignette title, two folding maps, two plates and one vignette to 'Bath', frontispiece, five plates and a plan to 'Kenilworth' in addition to an engraved frontispiece and six plates to 'Coventry'. An uncommon selection of guides, all published between 1824 and 1825. These guides look at schools, castles, priories, barracks, and other locations of note. In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with light fading to the spine. Rear hinge is slightly strained but firm. Reinforcements to the front and rear of the work. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Occasional light offsetting from the plates. Prior owner's inscription to the fore-margin of title page to 'Eaton', 'Kenilworth' and 'Coventry'. Pages are clean. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
