New York: The Macmillan Company. Very Good in Poor dust jacket. 1924. Hardcover. Khaki colored green cloth hardback is clean and tightly bound. Gilt lettering to spine with blindstamped title to front cover. Collection of editorials of William Allen White published in his newspaper, The Gazette, Emporia, KS. Front edge uncut with a small ink blot to bottom edge. Former owner name to FFEP with smear at top right (Sticker ghost? ) Cover edges show very minor wear at corners and spine ends. Age toning. Unclipped DJ is held together with tape, missing front top, edges chipped..but there. Digital photos available. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 380 pages .

Book Condition: Very Good; light wear to head, tail, and tips. No DJ. Green cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine; embossed lettering on the front board. Internal hinges are sound and not cracked or split. 380 pp 8vo. The selection of the editorials was difficult due to the expansive fields in which Mr. White ranged as an editor. At times he is Falstaff, then jester, then Puritan, then judge and sometimes teacher and friend. it finally became a personal and biographical study of Mr. White and of Kansas and finally became and editorial on life. A clean very presentable copy.
