General Electric. Very Good. 1928. Hardcover. Third edition. Attractive copy. Clean Blue cover with bright silver paper label with a black medallion. Bright silver decorated endpages. Modestly worn ends and corner tips, erasure residu on the first free endpage. 140 pages. Illustrated in color throughout the text. In 1928 refrigerators were a novelty unrealized potential to the Modern Homemaker of the day. Alice Bradley was the Principle of Miss (Fannie) Farmer's School of Cookery in Boston MA. Included within are general directions for food arrangement, tips for freezing, directions for cleaning ("treat the cabinet as you would any good piece of furniture"), and so much more. The color vignettes peppered throughout the text show completed dishes on period dishware. On page 42 is a photo of the refrigerator's contents, neatly arranged. ; 8vo .
