Paris: Imprimerie de Firmin Didot Freres. Good with no dust jacket. 1833. Second Edition. Hardcover. xv, 377, [v], 8, [iv], 2, 3 pp. Appendix, Turkish Proverbs. In French with extensive Turkish, back unnumbered pages are only Turkish. With the bookplate of celebrated proverb/maxim collectorLt. Colonel V.S.M. de Guinzbourg, the early incarnation. In what appears to be original 3/4 cloth with dark blue/black marbled board. Boards are scuffed, bottom edge/corner bumped, brown cloth spine with dulled gilt. Interior inside front cover and first blank have some spattered soiling at bottom edge. General browning and occasional small spot but otherwise clean and nice. Hard to find and nice provenance. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 377 pages .
