A sound, tight copy, in a brown textured cloth binding with gold title; a couple of pages with a small, very pale stain, o/w text appears clean and unmarked, with no creased or torn pages; binding shows some dark stainting to front, bumped corners, rubbing at corners and spine ends, fraying at head and foot of spine; fore-edge of front free endpaper chipped and torn; previous owner's name on front endpaper. ; An abridged version of the author's earlier work, The Human Intellect, published in 1868. 8.0" tall; 565 pages.
